A meaningful wellness session was conducted with the retired defense personnel and community members of Baridhara DOHS. More than twenty senior citizens participated in the graceful and engaging session, where important discussions were held on elderly health, healthy aging, and overall well-being.
The session focused on how senior citizens can maintain a healthy lifestyle through balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, mental wellness, and active social connection. Special emphasis was given to the importance of staying socially engaged to support emotional and psychological well-being in later stages of life.
During the discussion, current insights and data on chronic diseases, dementia, elderly health challenges, and age-related lifestyle risks were shared. The session also highlighted how small personal and community-level initiatives can significantly improve the quality of life and well-being of older adults.
